From Giant’s Steps to Viking Shores
Monday 8th - Saturday 13th September 2025, cycling from Giant's Causeway to Waterford
From the windswept basalt of the Giant’s Causeway to the storied streets of Waterford’s Viking Triangle, get ready for the next epic cycle adventure from CPOF and Fiorbhia. Riders will carve a path through Ireland’s ancient bones and modern soul - where legend lingers in the landscape and every mile holds a myth. This isn't just a journey south; it’s a tribute to the food and farmers that shape our island. Read on to find out more, and sign up at the form below to be a part of this unique experience!

Grounded has grown out of the success of last year's Longest Malin to Mizen cycle, and we intend to build on that momentum by taking on another exhilarating cycle in September this year! The route may be shorter, but it still promises an exciting and testing experience, with regenerative and organic farm stops that will showcase the very best of Irish produce.
We're thrilled this year to be able to take in Northern Ireland and experience even more of what this island has to offer!
The cycle will take place over 6 days, for Monday 8th September to Saturday 13th September, and will encompass around 400km - this is about a third the distance of last year's cycle so perfect for absolute beginners! We expect to only be on the bikes about 4hrs max a day, leaving plenty of time to relax and enjoy the excellent food on offer! And of course, your favourite social media stars, Colman Power and Brendan Guinan (Fiorbhia Farm) will be along for the ride!
You can expect good food, good fun, and good people at each stop along the way. Check out the trailer for our documentary below to get a taste for what it's all about - we can't wait to tell you more about what this year's cycle has in store!
We are currently busy building our route; if you're not ready to sign up to cycle just yet, sign up to our mailing list below to be the first to know when new info is released!
- Single day - €250
- Multiple days - €200 per day
- All 6 days - €1000
A deposit of €250 will be required from all participants to secure your place. We will require 80% of your total fee to be paid by Friday 01/08/25, with the remainder due Monday 01/09/25, a week before the cycle commences. You are free to pay in any instalment amount you wish provided these requirements are met.
The deposit is non-refundable, except under the circumstances where we cancel the event.
Payments can be made at the links below.
All accommodation and food will be included. We will also supply general tools for bike maintenance/repair, including high pressure pumps.
A single team jersey will be supplied. We will not supply any bikes, helmets, or other cycling gear. We strongly encourage you to get a road bike - those designed for endurance rather that racing are the most appropriate, remember, this is a long trip!
Yes! We will be holding events at each farm along the way, where you will have a opportunity to tour the farm and learn about how food is produced, followed by a showcase of the best of what that farm and others in the locality have to offer!
Sign up at the mailing list below to be the first to hear about upcoming events!
There will be no more than 15 cyclists on any given day. This is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants.
We encourage you to bring spare tubes and any essentials specific to your bike.
We know it can be tough to know what to bring if you haven't been on a long distance cycle before. Closer to the time we will publish useful checklists to help you know what to bring along.
Whilst all precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of riders at all times, Grounded accepts no liability for loss, damage, or injury incurred over the course of the cycle. We encourage you to invest in accident/injury insurance; there are a number of companies that offer short term options, as well as specific bike insurance.
You can view information on cycling laws in Ireland by clicking here. Cycling Ireland has also produced a handy PDF with information for cycling on the road, and in groups. We highly recommend reading this document if you are unfamiliar with road cycling, you can download at the link below. Please also read over their code of conduct - we will be adopting this standard (excluding competition related clauses) for the duration of the journey.
